LabelOn™ Optional Transparent Label Sensor

The LabelOn™ Modular machine is normally supplied with a Label Gap Sensor to feed opaque labels. In some instances clients may require Transparent labels. This video shows the LabelOn™ fitted with a Lion clear Label Gap Sensor. This sensor works on the principle of capacitance to detect the thickness of the label. The labels being fed here are Clear with black text and a colored panel of graphics.
Clear labels allow for the contents of clear containers or bottles to be more visible.
A flip side to this enhanced visibility under the label is that any air trapped beneath clear labels show though; often as bubbles. Clear labels have critical requirements of careful speed matching for the Label Speed to the surface of the container and the use of well adjusted brushes or label wipers. The design of the LabelOn™ and its modules for controlling different shaped containers provides the best operating window available for inline labeling equipment.
