This video demonstrates how label(s) can be fully dispensed from the label roll before they come into contact with the product.
This helps significantly improve the alignment of the leading and trailing edges of the label on a product.
On the LabelOn™ Modular or LabelOn™ Basic Range, a Standard Wrap Conveyor with a standard backing plate is recommended for label wraps of up to 85%.
On the LabelOn™ Modular or LabelOn™ Basic Range, a Vacuum Wrap Conveyor with a standard backing plate is recommended for label wraps of up to 95%.
On the LabelOn™ Modular or LabelOn™ Basic Range, a Standard Wrap Conveyor with a Bottle Capture Device (BCD) is recommended for label wraps of up to 100% or longer such as Tribe Promotional Labels
Vacuum Wrap Conveyors are also highly recommended when labeling Tapered Containers where the label is best completely released from the label roll before it is wrapped onto the container.
This is because the height of the top edge of the label will vary on the label roll but will not vary in height when applied on the container to be labeled. Completely releasing the label before it wraps onto a tapered container avoids the roll of labels having its tracking through the label head affected by the label wrap on process.
In this video we see that a Vacuum Wrap Conveyor can also facilitate Front and Back Labeling of Round Products where the labels are printed alternately Front-Back-Front-Back. For example Wine Bottles or Jam Spreads.
